The Pan American Center is pleased to welcome guests with disabilities. This guide provides information on the many accessible features that will help you to enjoy your visit to the arena. We are eager to please you so that you will want to return often with your friends.

Upon request, a reasonable accommodation will be provided at no cost to persons with protected disabilities. To request an accommodation, please contact the Pan American Center at least five working days before the event.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available on the main entrance/concourse level of the arena. Tickets for accessible seating areas are available through Ticketmaster and the Pan American Center Ticket Office. When ordering tickets for an accessible seating area, it is important to indicate that you require accessible seating so we can properly seat you. Please note that the number of seats available in the accessible seating area meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws relating to accessibility, however, the number of seats in the accessible seating areas are limited. Tickets for seats in the accessible seating areas are sold on a first come, first served basis.

Designated Parking Spaces for Persons with Disabilities

Designated parking spaces are available for guests with disabilities. These spaces are designated for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard. The parking spaces designated for guests with disabilities are made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Drinking Fountains

Accessible drinking fountains are located along each concourse.

Elevator/Golf Cart Shuttle Services

Guests with floor tickets and/or tickets for the bottom half of the lower bowl that need assistance are allowed to use the elevator to get to their seat. However, the policy is dependent on the type of the event.

Athletic Events

There are two options to get to the floor during an athletic event.

  • Golf Cart: The golf cart will pick up guests outside the northeast doors and take them to the floor via the east tunnel. Other arrangements can also be made through a staff member or supervisor. Our golf cart can seat up to 3 guests.
  • Elevator: The elevator is located in the south lobby. Teams and officials use the elevator during the game and although their movement is predictable, precautions have to be taken to ensure the safety of guests, teams, and officials.

There are no restrooms located on the floor. Restrooms are located on the main level for all events. If the restroom is needed during the athletic event, the elevator is usually readily available to go to the main level. However, the south tunnel staff member may hold traffic from going up the tunnel at certain points of the game to ensure the safety of the guest as well as the team or the officials. There may be some delay in getting to the elevator at certain times.

Non-NMSU Athletic Events

There are two options to get to the floor during a non-NMSU athletic event.
During a non-NMSU, athletic event the south tunnel is part of the backstage area. Guests that use the elevator will have to wait for a supervisor to make arrangements before they can be escorted through the backstage area and to their seat.

The golf cart is always the preferred option for non-NMSU athletic events because it is the fastest and easiest way for guests. If the elevator is preferred, we can accommodate as needed. It should be noted that elevator accommodations tend to take a few minutes longer because of security and safety concerns.

There are no restrooms located on the floor. Restrooms are located on the main level for all events. If the restroom is needed during a non-NMSU athletic event, the golf cart can be summoned. Response time may be delayed as it is primarily only in operation before an event begins, after the event ends, and during any intermissions. The golf cart primarily assists guests from the floor to the restrooms during intermission. If the elevator is preferred during the show or intermission, it should be noted that elevator accommodations tend to take a few minutes longer because of security and safety concerns.
