NMSU Special Events is pleased to announce an evening of music and fun, at the Pan American Center, Sunday November 1st, 2009. “Newsboys” is a Grammy Award-nominated Christian pop rock band. The band was formed in Queensland, Australia in 1985, and the band came to the United States in late 1987 and has been one of the most popular and best-selling Christian music artists of the past two decades. Since the band was formed there have been 15+ members of the group, and with the New Year comes a new lead vocalist. Michael Tait, a former member of the band “dc talk” has joined “Newsboys” and is taking the place of Peter Furler for their new “The Way We Roll” tour. Furler will still make appearances throughout the tour and continue to write for the group. Tickets are $22.00 and $17.00 plus any applicable service charges. They go on sale Thursday September 17th, 2009 at 10:00am at the Pan Am Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster locations.
